with an independent science researcher

On Thursday (October 12th) come hear about Josh McGinnis' journey as an independent scientific researcher at PSC Viz Lab, Allan Price Science Commons and Research Library. Josh is a software engineer and a self taught DIY biologist/independent researcher. He chronicles his experiments and their results on his website "EverymanBio" and his instagram account with the same username. Interested parties can RSVP here

Wrapping up our 3rd annual Sci Comm Series

We will conclude our Science Communication Series by hearing from Dr. Imari Walker on April 6th from 3pm to 5pm. Dr. Walker will discuss her work as a researcher and science communicator engaging with various stakeholders to bring awareness to and drive conversations addressing plastic pollution. 3rd annual Sci Comm Seminar Series

Come learn about what life in graduate school is like and how to build your own network of support during your studies with Dr. Stephanie Castillo. Dr. Castillo did her PhD in Science Communication at Vanderbilt University and then started her own digital media company Phuture Doctors with the goal of bringing inclusion to the STEM workforce using representation in media as a conduit. For those interested, please RSVP to attend Dr. Castillo's virtual talk on February 22nd from 3-5pm (PST).
